Christopher Cichon, MHA – Facial Plastic Surgery Patient Service Coordinator

Chris Cichon is the Rush Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Patient Services Coordinator. Mr. Cichon acts as a patient liaison and program developer for the Facial Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery Service Line. He can help guide and support you through all aspects of your experience with us including coordinating your procedures and to help ensure you have the best experience possible. Mr. Cichon has ten years of experience in the healthcare industry and holds a Master of Health Administration that he obtained at Southern Illinois University Carbondale in August 2022. Before joining the Rush Facial Plastics team, he served as a Perioperative Scheduler with the Department of Neurosurgery. With his broad knowledge of healthcare and gregarious energy, he is eager to offer his leadership skills by providing hands-on support. Outside of the healthcare realm, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, and exploring our beautiful city.

Veronica Perez – Perioperative Coordinator

Veronica Perez is the Peri-Operative Coordinator for our department, assisting with the Facial plastics team with more complex cases. Ms. Perez will assist with coordination and guidance for those complex case ensuring that the patient’s treatment is priority. Ms. Perez has 19 years of experience in the healthcare industry. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, and kickboxing.

Nursing Team:

Reyna Ramirez, RN

Reyna Ramirez is one of the Rush Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Registered Nurses. Ms. Ramirez assists in caring, advocating and supporting patients of Dr. Revenaugh through their journey of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery in the outpatient setting. She received her Nursing BSN Degree in 2018 at Dominican University. Ms. Ramirez has five years of nursing experience. Four of those years she worked as an inpatient Telemetry nurse. And has recently transitioned to the Ambulatory setting. She is currently working towards obtaining her Doctorate degree at RUSH University College of Nursing to become an Acute-Care Gerontology Nurse Practitioner.

Shelly Almeida, RN

Shelly Almeida is a part of the Rush Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery’s nursing team. Ms. Almeida graduated with a bachelor’s degree of Science in Nursing from Oakpoint University in Chicago. She has been caring and advocating for patients for 9 years. She started in the medical field as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant and now is a Registered Nurse of 5 years. Shelly has ventured into different fields in nursing before joining our team at Rush. Some include home health, hepatology/renal transplant, and travel nursing. Despite her setting, Shelly is a passionate and dedicated nurse that strides to provide the highest level of care. On her free time, Shelly enjoys spending time with her two puppies, enjoying nature, and spending time with loved ones.

Elyse Adkins, RN

Elyse Adkins graduated from Lewis University with her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and has been an RN since 2017. She worked inpatient at Rush for 2 years on a general medicine unit before transitioning to her current role at Rush. Elyse enjoys advocating for her patients and is passionate about providing patient education and teaching. In her free time, she enjoys taking her dog to the park and being out in nature.

Medical Assistants:

A strong Medical Assistant is a critical element of an effective health care team which Jesenia Silva and Nataly Garcia ensure to do just that at the Rush Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Clinic. They are both Certified Medical Assistants greatly trained and experienced to give you the best quality care during your visit. Upon your arrival to our clinic

Jesenia Silva, CMA

Jesenia Silva, shown to the left is one of our Medical Assistants who loves caring for patients and has a true passion for the healthcare field. Ms. Silva continues her studies as a result of pursuing a career in medicine to serve underrepresented communities. Outside from work she actively participates in organizations to engage with her community of La Villita.

Nataly Garcia, CMA

Nataly Garcia, shown on the right is also one of our Medical Assistants who is delighted to engage with patients and is always willing to lend a hand in clinic. Her excellence in patient care stems from her compassion towards family members and people. Ms. Garcia is continuing her studies in nursing to advocate and be a voice for patients. Outside of work she enjoys traveling and learning different cultures of the world.

Ms. Silva and Ms. Garcia will fulfill their clinical role by rooming patients, taking essential vitals, and documenting important information for the provider. You may also expect them to explain and prepare you for an in-clinic procedure, assist the physician during an examination, alongside preparing laboratory specimens.
