Eyelid Lift Chicago

Conveniently located to serve Chicago

An eyelid lift can restore a rested and youthful appearance to the eyes by addressing changes of facial aging that occur over time. This procedure involves removing excess tissue and restoring the position of the eyelid to a more natural and youthful position.

Good Candidates for an Eyelid Lift

Patients who have eyelids that make them look fatigued, stressed, or older than they actually are may be excellent candidates for an eyelid lift. Good candidates are patients who want to address sagging lids, puffiness, and/or fine wrinkles on their upper or lower lids.

To ensure that the chance of complications is low, patients will need to be in good overall health. Non-smokers are the best candidates, and smokers will need to avoid smoking in the weeks leading up to the surgery. It is important to have realistic expectations regarding results.

One of the best physicians I have ever seen. Took the time to explain in detail the reasons for my symptoms. Explained in detail the procedures we would do. Highly-recommended.

Your Consultation

Patients will need to schedule a consultation for their eyelid lift. This will help them learn more about the steps that will be involved in the process. During the consultation, questions will be asked about the patient’s medical history, including past procedures and allergies.

Patients are encouraged to ask as many questions about the procedure as they want during the consultation to help address their concerns.

The Procedure

At the start of an eyelid lift, anesthesia is administered. Tiny incisions are made in key regions, and then excess tissue is removed or repositioned as required. The remaining tissues are tightened for a rejuvenated appearance.

Eyelid Lift Recovery

In the first 48 hours following the eyelid lift, patients will need to rest with their heads elevated. Some bruising and minor discomfort can also be expected during the recovery period. Ice packs can be used to address swelling.

Whenever the patient is outside, it will be necessary for them to protect their eyelids with sunglasses and proper sunscreen. This is because the healing eyelids will be more vulnerable to damage from environmental factors such as wind and sun exposure.
