Cheek Lift

Conveniently located to serve Chicago

A cheek lift is a procedure done to reverse the effects of aging on the mid-face face and cheek area. As the tissues in this area descend over time due to the effects of gravity, the cheekbones lose volume and sagging tissues make one look older than they feel. A cheek lift in Chicago restores these tissues to their original position to create a youthful and rested appearance.

Ideal Candidates

Good candidates for a cheek lift include people with hollowed areas under the eyes and heaviness below their cheeks. They are healthy individuals with no medical concerns that could impede their recovery after the surgery. Ideal candidates have a positive but realistic outlook about the results of the procedure.

Your Cheek Lift Consultation

The initial consultation will involve a review of your medical history, including current medications, vitamins, and supplements. You will also be asked about any allergies. This will help us assess potential risks during the procedure.

We will ask about your expectations and discuss the benefits and potential risks of a cheek lift. We will also physically examine your facial skin to determine how incisions will be made to get the best results. You may be asked to stop certain medications and given pre- and post-surgery instructions.

What Is a Cheek Lift Like?

At the start of the procedure, the patient will be given a local anesthetic with sedation. Minimal incisions will be made around the ear and hairline. The underlying tissues will then be lifted and secured in their new position.

What Is Recovery Like?

After the procedure, you can go home without staying overnight at the hospital. Since the skin under the eye and in the middle of the face is thin, a degree of temporary bruising will be present. The treated area may also be swollen for seven to 10 days. Use ice packs to relieve swelling. Your cheek fat pads may look too elevated initially, but they will go back down to their natural position as you heal.

You may start to see results within two weeks, and it may take a year or so for the final results to show. The effects of a cheek lift vary from one case to the next, but results are typically present for 10 years.

How Much Is the Cost of a Cheek Lift?

The cost of a cheek lift depends on the surgeon’s fees, facility costs, anesthetic fees, and other costs. The more complex your procedure is, the higher the price. You can discuss the cost of your cheek lift during the procedure.
