Tear Trough Filler

Conveniently located to serve Chicago

Address problems with your baggy under eyes with tear trough fillers in Chicago. As we age, the eyes can begin to appear older and more tired as the volume is lost and facial soft tissue sags. The area between the eyelid and the cheek called the tear trough can deepen, giving the appearance of dark circles or bags under the eyes. Hyaluronic acid fillers can be very helpful in restoring volume to the tear trough area to restore a more youthful and rested look.

Sometimes, surgical techniques like lower blepharoplasty are necessary to fully and permanently treat the lower eyelid appearance.

What Are Tear Trough Fillers?

Tear trough fillers, also known as under-eye fillers, are products injected to restore lost volume below the eyes. This minimally invasive non-surgical treatment is an effective way to remove dark eye circles and restore fullness in the hollow under-eye areas.

The main component of these dermal fillers is hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in the body and depletes over time, leading to loss of volume.

Am I a Good Candidate for Tear Trough Fillers?

If you have dark hollows or depressions under your eyes, you may be considering this treatment. You must first have adequate skin thickness and elasticity, and you must be physically healthy. Your tear troughs must be mild to moderate.

Tear trough filler is not suitable for individuals with thin or excess skin, very deep tear troughs, certain medical conditions, or active skin infections. It is best to have a realistic mindset and expect this treatment to last for 6 months to 1 year.

Your Tear Trough Fillers Consultation

During the consultation, we may ask about your medical history to decide if you are suitable for the treatment. Your under-eye areas will be examined to assess your compatibility with tear trough fillers. Once you are approved, we will proceed to arrange an appointment.

At Rush Facial Plastics, your safety and satisfaction is the primary goal.

The Procedure

The procedure starts with either a topical anesthetic or an ice pack on your lower eyelids to numb the area and avoid bruising. After this, a syringe containing the filler will be prepared.

Finally, the filler will be injected into the skin below your under-eye. After the filler has been injected, the needle will be carefully withdrawn. The area injected will be lightly massaged to spread the filler throughout. The same procedure is applied to the other under-eye, if necessary.

The tear trough treatment can last for 15 to 30 minutes, and patients are allowed to go home afterward, with instructions to avoid partaking in any intense exercise for the first 24 hours of treatment.

How Much Do Tear Trough Fillers Cost?

The cost of tear trough fillers treatment varies from one patient to another. The overall price will depend on the number of syringes used during the procedure and the brand of filler that will be used.
