Midface Lift | Dr. Revenaugh

Conveniently located to serve Chicago

Loss of volume in the midface and sagging of the facial tissues can lead to the appearance of deep wrinkles, jowling near the mouth, and hollowness that can make one look older than they are. A midface lift repositions the facial tissues in order to smooth the skin and correct areas of heaviness resulting in a younger appearance.

Your Consultation

Chicago patients will need to answer questions pertaining to their medical history during their midface lift consultation. This will include current medications, past procedures, and allergies. The patient’s face will be evaluated, and they will discuss their cosmetic goals.

Specifics regarding the procedure and the steps involved will be discussed to help patients prepare ahead of time. Patients can bring up any concerns regarding the midface lift. If they have any questions about the procedure, this would be the best time to address them.

Highly-Recommended

One of the best physicians I have ever seen. Took the time to explain in detail the reasons for my symptoms. Explained in detail the procedures we would do. Highly-recommended.

Midface Lift Recovery

Following the midface lift session, patients can expect mild discomfort, swelling, and bruising during the recovery period. Patients can apply an ice compress to the affected areas after 72 hours. These minor issues should subside over the following weeks.

Patients will also be provided with instructions regarding post-surgical care that they will need to follow closely. They can return to their regular activities after 10 days. Chicago patients are advised to avoid physical exertion and strenuous activities for several weeks.

Midface Lift FAQs

Patients who have noticed wrinkles, volume loss or sagging of the facial tissues near the cheeks or mouth may benefit from a midface lift to restore a more youthful and healthy appearance.
A midface lift is a surgical procedure that is performed under anesthesia to keep you both comfortable and safe during surgery. Local anesthesia, sedation, and general anesthesia can all be used during surgery. You and your surgeon will discuss the type of anesthesia that will be best for you during your consultation.
This procedure is typically performed as an outpatient with you going home the same day as surgery.
The cost of a midface lift will depend on several factors, including the exact techniques used, total surgical time, and anesthesia fees. Price can be discussed during the scheduled consultation.
